Item #V99110 (Video) -- $23.95Fredone's Netting Lesson (Video) with Fredone Jones Netting is a method of making a knotted mesh. It is thought to be one of the earliest forms of openwork. Its primary purpose is to make fishing nets. However, netting is also used to make a beautiful lace. It uses only one stitch, but you can vary it many ways to make different lace patterns. All you need is a netting needle and a guide stitch (which determines the size of the mesh). This introductory 'netting' video will teach you how to work the stitch. Many variations are discussed and ideas for lace projects are included along with a written supplement which includes helpful hints, project ideas and a few small projects. Format: VHS video cassette, 33 mins. |
